Dr. Michas received his medical degree from the University
of British
Columbia in 1966. He did his surgical training at the University of
Michigan and at University of California Davis, finishing in 1971. He then
joined the faculty of UC Davis and taught medical students and surgeons in
training for eight years. In 1979 he came to Fresno to join Surgical Associates.
He is a Governor of the American College of Surgeons. His expertise lies in
caring for patients who have surgical problems that are amenable to minimally
invasive techniques and who have vascular and thoracic problems.
Dr. Gonzalez, Jr. is
a native of Fresno. He received his medical degree from
Creighton University in
1983. He returned to Fresno for his surgical training at University Medical
Center which he completed in 1988. He then joined the surgical teaching faculty
at University Medical Center. He entered solo private practice in 1990 and
joined Surgical Associates in 1994. He enjoys the full spectrum of general and
thoracic surgery and has special interests in the laparoscopic repair of
hernias.
Dr.
Juarez is a graduate of the University of California
– San
Francisco (class of ‘90) and obtained
his surgical training at its Fresno based surgical residency program. After
graduating in 1995, he served on the program’s faculty until joining Surgical
Associates in mid 1996. His primary interests are applying the most current
minimally invasive techniques in the care of general, thoracic and vascular
surgery patients.
